The article discusses some biological features of leaf beetles. Leaf beetles are divided into several main groups depending on their nutrition, which makes them a Beetle's vital activity associated with woody and shrubby plants or grasses. Evidence has been obtained that trophic specialization, as well as affinity with plant leaves, play an important role in the evolution of Beetles. It has been noted that pests are almost exclusively associated with the vegetation of ornamental trees. The third largest food complex of the species is associated with legumes.
