The needs analysis is divided into four parts: inquiries about objectives, motivation, and personal interests; an exam to assess English proficiency in medicine; a brief essay about students' expectations for the course's conclusion; and focus group discussions with medical students. Each part is described along with instructions and justifications for its implementation.
