This article presents some results of a study of the effectiveness and possibilities of independent learning of the "Brainstorming" method, which is one of the innovative methods in the learning process of "Algorithmic languages and programming". The problem is analyzed on the basis of scientific and methodological sources, on the basis of existing scientific literature, as well as on the basis of the current state of development of independent education in teaching specific subjects, the necessary conclusions are drawn.
