Traditional astronomical symbolic expressions in ornaments, characteristic of the periods of development of Islamic architectural ornaments in the world, have been studied very little as a separate scientific research. In particular, the scientific study of astronomical ornaments by putting them into a single system is of the greatest importance at present. Therefore, we scientifically studied the ornaments on the tomb of Sultan Sanjar, a masterpiece of Seljuk architecture in Turkmenistan, and found that among them there is an astronomical representation of the tent-shaped spinning top model of the universe. The article describes this discovery in detail.
