This article analyzes the old education system and its influence on the current modern education system. The Soviet education system was characterized by its rigid and controlled methods. In this system, the teacher's right to guide students was somewhat limited and the opportunities for free thinking were reduced.However, Soviet education made great strides, especially in the scientific and technological fields. The modern education system, however, has departed from the methods of the former Soviet education and is making great strides in creating wide opportunities for students, using interactive methods, and renewing the educational process. In this system, teachers should not only fulfill the role of a transmitter of knowledge, but also of developing students' independent thinking and creative abilities. Overall, the article provides a broad analysis of changes in education systems and their effectiveness, showing how the roles of teachers and students are changing today.
