This article focuses on the study of issues of developing students' polytechnic knowledge in teaching the mechanical engineering drawing department of drawing in secondary schools. It analyzes issues such as the current content, methodological support, and the level of provision with modern didactic tools of the educational process in secondary schools in the "Mechanical Drawing" department, and explores and analyzes opportunities for their improvement.
