This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in improving the assessment system in education. The shortcomings of traditional assessment methods, in particular, the problems of subjectivity and time requirements, are analyzed, and the advantages of automated systems based on AI are shown - speed, accuracy, impartiality, and adaptability. The study analyzes international AI platforms (ChatGPT, Grammarly, Turnitin AI, etc.) and provides recommendations for their adaptation to the Uzbek education system. Based on the results of the questionnaire and experimental evaluation, AI's capabilities are proven, such as 89% accuracy, 24 times speed, and reduced subjectivity. The authors propose to introduce AI not as a fully autonomous tool, but as an auxiliary tool for the teacher.
