This work analyzes the role and potential of artificial intelligence technologies in the modern education system. The possibilities of effective use of artificial intelligence in such areas as individualization of the educational process, automation of assessment, and support for teacher activities are considered. Pedagogical and ethical issues encountered in the introduction of artificial intelligence into education are also highlighted.
