The article considers the issue of the author's mastery of revealing the moral theme in the example of the story "Bread" by Junay Mavlyanov as the subject of research. The main goal of the article is to reveal the special importance that the artist attaches to the essence of human life, the moral lessons of his relationship with others for today's reader. A review of a work written in the Soviet era, containing moral content, from a modern perspective demonstrates the relevance of the article. The research used the scientific method of observation with a comprehensive analysis based on literary activity. The research of our national writers and thoughtful reflections, analyses and conclusions about the work of Junay Mavlyanov served as a methodological basis for writing the article to a certain extent. As a result of the observations, the writer's work is directed towards universal humanistic ideas. It is recommended to use it in the activities of specialists working in the field of education and upbringing to morally educate the future generation.
