Abstract
This article is about extracurricular musical work and classes in music lessons for boarding school and orphanage pupils, their aesthetic development. In music lessons, due to time constraints (1 hour a week, and in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 there is no music at all), the teacher is not able to purposefully prepare boarding school pupils for independent musical life.
