This article presents ideas on the development of students' independent learning activities in an information-based learning environment. At the same time, the skills and competencies related to planning students' independent learning, drawing up an individual activity plan for independent activity, conducting purposeful activities based on the plan, monitoring their activities and making necessary adjustments to them are highlighted.
