The article discusses the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) to develop reading skills in primary school students. The key advantages of using AI technologies in teaching reading are analyzed. Examples of modern AI tools and applications adapted for primary school students and teachers are given. Particular attention is paid to the issues of preparing teachers for the effective integration of AI into the educational process. Based on practical experience, the effectiveness of introducing AI solutions in reading lessons in primary grades in Uzbekistan is considered, as well as the prospects for further development of this area in the context of digitalization of education.
