Abstract
This article analyzes the role and significance of the work "Boburnoma" by Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in studying the history of the Timurid state. The historical events, socio-political situations, cultural life and geographical images presented in the work show the possibilities of studying the history of Central Asia of the 15th-16th centuries. The role of "Boburnoma" as a scientific source in comparison with other historical sources is also revealed
