Plants are an irreplaceable source of obtaining manypractically important substances. It should be emphasized that the industrialproduction of some compounds, such as cardiac glycosides, flavonoids,coumarins, essential oils, is achieved only by isolating them from plant raw materials.Meanwhile, the possibilities of obtaining the so-called "metabolites of interest" insufficient quantities are often limited. This is due to the reduction of resourcesof some valuable wild plants, the belonging of many medicinal plants to endemic groups, rare and endangered species. In this regard,plant cell cultures are of great interest as a source of biologically active substances.
