Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) remains one of the pressing problems in reproductive medicine. According to current data, about 1–2% of women of reproductive age suffer from recurrent miscarriages, and in a significant number of cases, the cause remains unclear [1]. Among the many factors influencing the development of RPL, special attention is paid to immunological and genetic aspects [2]. Anti-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-10, TGF-β1, and IL-4 play an important role in maintaining the immune balance during pregnancy. IL-4 promotes the formation of a Th2 response and suppression of Th1 cells associated with inflammation [3]. Genetic variations affecting the expression of these cytokines may increase the risk of miscarriage.
