Abstract
This article reviews the role, achievements, and future prospects of modern biotechnology and genetic engineering in medicine. Genetic engineering methods, their applications, and the results achieved in medicine are analyzed. Recent advances in gene therapy, CRISPR technology, and personalized medicine are also discussed.
