This thesis analyzes the possible side effects of Turkestan lion's tail (Leonurus turkestanicus) tincture, their causes and clinical significance.Although lion's tail tincture has long been used in folk medicine as an effective remedy for cardiovascular, nervous tension and women's health diseases,some of its bioactive substances, in particular leonurine and stachydrine alkaloids,may cause physiological side effects such as bradycardia, arterial hypotension, and drowsiness along with mild sedation.
