This article presents new scientific data on the first detection of the species Colletopterum sogdianum in Lake Akkush, located in the eastern part of the Fergana Valley. During the study, the morphometric characteristics, adaptation characteristics to ecological conditions, and habitat of this species were studied in detail. The results obtained justify the need to preserve rare and vulnerable mollusk species distributed in the Fergana Valley and provide a scientific basis for revising strategies aimed at preserving biodiversity in the region.
