This thesis scientifically analyzes the biological properties of the plant Plantain (Plantago major), its adaptation to environmental conditions, and especially its medicinal value. Based on the active substances contained in the leaves, seeds, and roots of Plantain, its wound-healing, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects have been proven. This plant is widely used in both folk medicine and modern pharmacology. The thesis discusses the chemical composition of Plantain, its healing properties, and its importance in the preparation of medicinal preparations.
