This article highlights the role and importance of laboratory exercises in teaching natural sciences in the modern education system. The study analyzes the issues of developing students' scientific thinking, connecting knowledge with practice, and forming creative thinking skills through laboratory exercises. It also examines methods for effectively organizing laboratory exercises, the possibilities of using advanced technologies and innovative methods. The authors of the article present proposals and recommendations aimed at increasing the role of laboratory exercises in the educational process.
