This article discusses the possibilities of introducing QR codes and facial recognition technology in order to automate student identification and strengthen the control system in higher education institutions. It considers the process of electronically confirming students' admission status and participation in exams. It also discusses the advantages of this approach in terms of reducing paperwork, increasing data security, saving time, and increasing the efficiency of control, as well as the technical and organizational measures necessary for its implementation.
