This article examines the problems of pedagogical orientation of technical universities. Pedagogical orientation is a motivation for the teaching profession and a person's stable desire to engage in teaching activities, the main thing in which is an effective orientation towards the development of the student's personality. In the system of value orientations of the teacher's personality, his professional pedagogical orientation plays an important role. This focus is based on the need for pedagogical activity. As a result of the study, it is determined that the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of developing pedagogical orientation in teachers depends on a number of pedagogical conditions.
