The digital revolution has had a major impact on the development of online education, especially in Uzbekistan, where significant changes are being observed in this area. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of online education, as well as its relationship with the digital economy and economic growth, using the example of Uzbekistan. The study examines variables such as the number of users of online education platforms, internet connectivity, and gross domestic product (GDP) over the period 2016-2024 through econometric analysis. The results show the advantages of online education, such as improving the quality of education, reducing costs, and providing access to a wider audience. However, disadvantages such as infrastructure problems, low digital literacy, and social inequality were also identified. Using econometric models, the positive impact of the digital economy on economic growth and the role of online education in this process were proven. The study provides recommendations for Uzbekistan to develop digital education infrastructure and strengthen cybersecurity. This work contributes to understanding the economic and social consequences of digitalization in education.
