This article analyzes the scientific and pedagogical foundations of organizing the teaching process of natural sciences on the basis of STEAM education. The article justifies the need to introduce innovative methodological approaches within the framework of the educational policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The STEAM model highlights the possibilities of forming 21st century competencies in students, such as practical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and creative approach. The article also puts forward proposals on existing problems and ways to overcome them, in particular, improving the skills of pedagogical personnel, strengthening the laboratory base and integrating curricula. According to the results of the study, it is noted that the introduction of STEAM education serves as an important factor in increasing the effectiveness of teaching natural sciences
