This article analyzes the didactic foundations of developing research competence in teaching students based on world information resources. In the process of modern education, the important principles of didactics in directing students to research activities are studied - scientificity, systematicity, independence, information-based education, critical thinking, interactivity, and practice-oriented approaches.
