This article analyzes modern approaches to teaching the Russian language in general education institutions of Uzbekistan, in particular, the use of interactive methods. Particular attention is paid to the use of game forms, role-playing exercises, digital technologies and project activities as a means of increasing students' interest and motivation. Issues of integrating music, films and language exchange opportunities into the educational process are considered.
