This article discusses the educational and pedagogical activities of Jadid enlighteners, who played an important role in the socio-political life of Turkestan in the 20th century. Detailed information about Jadid textbooks is provided, and at the same time their didactic content is revealed. In the analysis of the textbooks, special attention is paid to the textbook "Geography" by Mahmudkhoj Behbudi, and the essence of its content is analyzed.
