This article analyzes the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features of pulpitis and periodontitis, as well as modern diagnostic and treatment methods. Pulpitis is an inflammation of the pulp tissue, primarily developing as a complication of dental caries, and can present in both acute and chronic forms. Periodontitis is a sequela of pulpitis and involves inflammation of the tissues surrounding the tooth root. The article pays special attention to the symptomatology, differential diagnosis, and radiographic features of both conditions. It also discusses conservative and surgical treatment methods, root canal cleaning and disinfection, the use of biocompatible filling materials, antibiotic therapy, and physiotherapeutic approaches. The results of the study show that early diagnosis and a comprehensive treatment approach are crucial in preventing severe complications of pulpitis and periodontitis.
