This thesis covers the issues of young people finding their place in life, forming a sense of purpose and meaning in life. In this, along with upbringing, education, spiritual and educational work, the role of fiction is also analyzed. The fact that human life cannot be without purpose, the educational, social and spiritual significance of forming noble goals in the younger generation are discussed. How the issue of purpose and meaning is expressed in examples of fiction is also analyzed. It is based on the fact that the presence of a clear purpose and meaning in life in the future activities of young people, their aspirations and aspirations is a decisive factor in their formation as individuals and their contribution to the development of society. Examples are given from the works of classical and modern writers.
