This article analyzes the reorganization of agriculture in the Fergana Valley under wartime conditions during the early years of World War II, as well as the difficulties in implementing state plans. It highlights the widespread recruitment of elderly people, women, and children to agricultural labor, who remained to replace men who had gone to war, the introduction of new crop varieties, and the economic difficulties in agriculture.
