In the current century, there has been an increase in cases of addiction to information technology. The Internet, social networks, online games and digital platforms have become the main means of global information exchange. In this regard, the influence of virtual addiction on public life, social relations and everyday activities of people has significantly increased. This article analyzes scientific theories about the virtual world and the negative consequences of this addiction around the world, and also provides additional recommendations for prevention.
