This article analyzes the role of the personality of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in the history of Central Asia in the 15th-16th centuries and the historical and cultural significance of his work "Boburnoma". Babur's political activities, literary heritage and views of the period are discussed on the basis of scientific literature. Research shows that Babur occupies a special place not only as a political figure of his time, but also as a creator who made a significant contribution to the development of literature and culture.
