This article analyzes the issue of studying the history of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur and the Babur dynasty he founded. It provides a comparative review of the research of republican scientists in the field of Babur studies and the scientific views of foreign researchers. It also highlights the importance of the "Baburnama" and sources of the Babur period, their scientific assessment at the international level.
