This article comprehensively covers the methodological functions of ethnographic components in the modern education system. The didactic, educational and communicative functions of ethnographic materials in the formation of students' cultural consciousness, instilling national values, and increasing the effectiveness of lessons are analyzed. The study shows how the content and form of the subject can be enriched by using ethnographic approaches in the educational process.
