Abstract
This thesis provides information about the Earth's natural radiation background, its main sources - cosmic rays, radionuclides in the Earth's crust, radon gas, and internal radiation. The impact of natural radiation on human health, its differences by geographical region, and the importance of radiation safety are highlighted.
