The article discusses the importance of grasses common in the urban flora of Tashkent. Representatives of the Poaceae family are important in biodiversity in terms of landscape decoration, erosion reduction, and adaptation to anthropogenic pressure. It is important to study the ecological characteristics of grasses common in the urban flora of Tashkent, in particular, representatives of the Bromus L. genus, and to assess the possibilities of their decorative use.
