This article analyzes the formation of the law of universal gravitation, its historical origin and physical content. The main goal of the study is to explain the theoretical foundations of the law of gravity proposed by Newton and how it manifests itself in various environments. The article considers the role of gravitational interaction in classical mechanics, the relationship of gravitational force to masses and distance. It also analyzes the characteristics of the operation of gravitational force in vacuum and material environments. The conclusions obtained show that the law of universal gravitation is of great importance not only in astronomical phenomena, but also in processes in Earth conditions.
