This article examines the evolutionary development of pop and jazz genres in the musical culture of Uzbekistan, their integration with national melodies. The author analyzes the unique "ethno-jazz" appearance of Uzbek jazz, focusing on the harmonic, rhythmic and timbre features of maqom art and jazz improvisation. The artistic and aesthetic significance of intergenre synthesis in modern compositional work is also revealed.
