The article provides a comparative analysis of the historical formation and modern development processes of the higher education systems of Uzbekistan and Turkey. The stages of development of the university system in both countries, educational reforms, the introduction of the credit-module system, and the expansion of international cooperation are covered. The similarities and differences in the higher education systems are also analyzed, and their development prospects are assessed.
