This article analyzes the socio-psychological impact of the policy of comprehensive collectivization of agriculture in Uzbekistan on the rural population from the point of view of historiography. The study highlights the fact that the collectivization policy is not only an economic phenomenon, but also a complex political and social process that has had a dramatic impact on the internal social structure of rural society, peasant traditions, national mentality and spiritual environment. Also, the historiography of the Soviet era and subsequent studies are comparatively reviewed, revealing the impact of the mechanisms of "kulak", "mushtumzor", repression, discontent and forced subjugation on the consciousness of the rural population [1; 2; 5; 6].
