These proverbs reflect not only the history, lifestyle, worldview of the people, but also their worries and dreams. Proverbs are national-cultural units that allow a deeper understanding of people's outlook and mentality. This article shows the thematic groups, semantics and structure of Uzbek folk proverbs.
