If we look at history, we see that the Uzbek nation was formed as a result of mixing and merging of tribes and clans belonging to different peoples in long and complex historical processes. Among our people, we can meet representatives of Karakalpak, Uyghur, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Tatar, Turkic nationalities, as well as Persian-Tajik, Arab, Russian, Gypsy, Mongolian, Korean, etc. It is known that many ethnic groups contributed to the unification of the Uzbek people as a nation, and the names of these groups, their culture, language, are an important source in creating the past of our nation. Ethnotoponyms occupy a special place in the study of the names of these ethnic groups and the place names formed on this basis.
